CATSKILL, N.Y – The Columbia-Greene Hospital Foundation’s Annual Hospital Ball held on a beautiful Saturday evening at a scenic Hudson River location honored Columbia Memorial Health physicians and helped raise more $590,000.

Nearly 400 guests attended the Hospital Ball at The Historic Catskill Point on Saturday, June 6, which was hosted by long-time donors and champions of CMH, John B. Fraser & Nancy J. Kyle. The gala event was an elegant masked ball held in celebration of the CMH medical staff.

The evening featured a philanthropic auction that raised more than $80,000 specifically for new cardiac technology. The new high-tech system, employed by major trauma hospitals across the United States, provides 24/7 cardiac monitoring in any patient room in the Hospital and decreases wait times in the Emergency Department for patients needing cardiac care.

“CMH is home to a diverse and talented team of primary and specialty care physicians who are well deserving of a gala in their honor. But, the real beneficiaries of the Hospital Ball are the patients who will experience improved cardiac care services because of money raised at the Ball. We thank our outstanding medical staff and our generous donors for their support,” said CMH President & CEO Jay P. Cahalan.

The 27th Annual Hospital Ball enjoyed a warm evening  and sweeping views of the Hudson River and Rip Van Winkle Bridge. It was presented by Mid-Hudson Cable with featured sponsors including Millennium Medical Imaging, North American Partners in Anesthesia, and USI Insurance Services with PMA Companies.
