Qualifications:

Graduate of approved Ultrasound Program/ or
equivalent experience.

ARDMS Registered, BLS Certification

1 year experience preferred.

Duties:
Adheres to standard safety practices and job, department
and Columbia Memorial Hospital policies and procedures related to safety.

Participates in training and development activities in accordance with Columbia
Memorial Hospital policies and practices.

Displays good guest relations and positive attitude toward all Hospital
visitors, patients and vendors, etc.

Demonstrates technical proficiency in producing diagnostic
scans with the ability to recognize anatomical structures that are
visualized, as evidenced by completion of sonograms of patients of all ages.

Obtains and examines the requisition for an Ultrasound procedure
to be aware of information such as scan requested, patient’s
condition or any other special notes or comments.

Demonstrates the ability to assess a situation from a
variety of perspectives, considers alternatives and
selects the appropriate course of action.

Explains the procedure to the patient or parent/guardian to facilitate
cooperation and alleviate patient anxiety.

Always presents the department in a positive manner to patients,
families, significant others and hospital personnel.

Performs any QA and equipment checks within ultrasound department.

Maintains proper use and care of probes and cleaning system for probes.

Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in area of responsibility at
all times.

Demonstrates a good working knowledge of the HIS/RIS and PACS
computer system.

Rotates as needed on all shifts as requested and performs the duties of that
shift; regularly responds to an “on-call” basis as the need arises, as
evidenced by the time card.

Salary Range: $33.36 – $41.81
