DENIAL COORDINATOR – 10351

Summary:
The denial coordinator is responsible for ensuring all weekly denials are
completed and worked for the denial team. The individual will be versed in all
insurance denials and be able to assist other denial team members with
questions and best practices for appeals. Excellent organizational,
communication and leadership skills are necessary for this position.

The candidate must possess a vast knowledge of insurance carrier policies and
procedures relative to claim processing, including claim adjustment reason
codes (CARC) and remark codes (RARC). The candidate will have the ability to
prioritize and complete tasks assigned timely. The candidate should have
working knowledge of excel and the ability to do data analysis and report
findings of trends and issues. The denial coordinator will be responsible for
communication and agendas for insurance carrier meetings to discuss trending
issues. The denial coordinator will collaborate with the Albany Medical Health
System on trending issues.

The denial coordinator will focus on mastering the success of a submitted
appeal to increase the appeal success rate for the unit.

Education:Individual must have obtained a high school diploma, associate s
degree preferred, not necessary.

License/Certifications: HBI

Experience:Candidate must have a minimum of two years experience in a patient
billing and collections health care setting.

Salary Range: $15.45 – $28.88
