This position will rotate between the Patient Accounting Department and the
Cashier Office. The main objective of the position will be to counsel and
assist patients with outstanding bills. Counseling services will be available
to patients, prior to services rendered, while they are present at the
facility, and after their services. The financial counseling will include
advising patients of best available options to assist with paying for their
services and assisting with the collection of copays, and processing
uncompensated care applications.

Basic Cashier duties will be the responsibility of this individual. Some of
these tasks include, but are not limited to; safe guarding the valuable,
safeguarding any deposits received, obtaining payments from patients, and
reconciling cash drawer.

Individual must have obtained a high school diploma, associates degree
preferred, not necessary

Candidate must posses a minimal 3 years experience working with the public,
preferably in a health care setting. Excellent customer service skills are

Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities a must. Knowledge of
computer and ability to retain instructions necessary. Prior experience
dealing with cash drawer reconciliation, and banking deposits preferred.

Ability to work with all patients regardless of age, bilingual preferred, but
not required. Candidate must have strong accounting abilities.
