Gastroenterology at CMH
Regulating and treating digestive diseases and issues
Digestive disorders can be painful and uncomfortable for the individuals experiencing them. Gastroenterology is the study of the internal organs dealing with the digestive system. This includes organs such as the gall bladder, small intestine, colon, rectum and pancreas.
Gastrointestinal diseases and ailments can range from a short-term digestive issue to something as serious as cancer. We encourage all of our patients to have regular screenings when recommended by their primary care physician.
The gastroenterologists at CMH are highly-trained and can perform minimally-invasive laparoscopic procedures to ensure your organs are functioning as they should. Our physicians are able to treat patients on-site for most digestive issues and abdominal or rectal pain. In the event of a serious diagnosis or ailment, patients can be recommended to leading specialists, without the restriction of a network.
Symptoms of a gastrointestinal problem may be:
- bloody stool
- irregular bowel movements
- abdominal pain
- acid reflux
- constipation or diarrhea
