Dr. Robert Schneider is a lifelong resident of Greene County, New York.  He attended Cairo-Durham High School and received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York.  After college, Dr. Schneider went on to teach and do research in renal toxicology at St. John’s University in Queens, New York.  Dr. Schneider furthered his academic career at Georgetown University where he received his Masters of Science degree in Biophysics and Physiology.

Dr. Schneider received his Medical Doctorate degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.  He then went  on to complete a three year residency in Family Medicine at Albany Medical Center Hospital.  Dr. Schneider  is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

He has conducted extensive research over the years on a variety of topics from emergency medicine and forensic chemistry to pulmonary and vascular medicine. Dr. Schneider is active in his community and is an Associate Professor of Family Practice at  Albany Medical College .
